Independence Day is Family Day

SeaTac City offers you a family oriented Independence Day celebration – fun yet safe, totally child-friendly series of fun events. And so that’s why it’s called not just any other 4th of July, but the Family 4th of July! See what our city offers.

A hot Independence Day? No problem! Go to the Water Spray Park at Angle Lake. Cool off at this safe and fun place with the park’s many spray nozzles where you and the kids can run through and play in. And if this is just too tame for you, dare to get drenched from the Mega Soaker; every few minutes, 55 gallons of water spills over onto any one in its way. Have a wet holiday here any time from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages into Angle Lake Park.

Coolers are allowed but be sure to not bring alcoholic beverages.
Take the kids to Fort Dent Park, the largest park in Tukwila, and have fun with their inflatable bouncers and slides and a fabulous entertainment stage. Find a spot to have a picnic or buy your lunch at any of the many food stalls around the park.

Back at Angle Lake Park, stay for the live entertainment from 1pm till about 10pm when the fireworks show commences. Let the label artists and friends of the record company, Morris the Fish entertain you with their line-up of guests, like Jessica Lynne & the Cousins and Paul Sawtelle and Friends.

By 10pm, watch the skies above SeaTac explode with the colors of Independence Day as provided by Entertainment Fireworks. You bet you’re going to have a great and safe show by the largest fireworks provider in Washington state with 20 years experience.

The Union Station is not just a fascinating look at Washington’s history and magnificent architecture. It is also a stunning venue for the special occasions in your life. The rotunda is available for rentals for weddings, parties, and other celebrations, offering space for up to 1,200 people.
